Nidec Conversion debuts at KEY 2025 with e-mobility, BESS tech

Nidec Conversion will be for the first time among the players at Key 2025, the European event dedicated to energy transition technologies to be held in Rimini, Italy, March 5-7, 2025.

Nidec Conversion debuts at KEY 2025 with e-mobility, BESS tech

The Group will make its debut at Key 2025, demonstrating the company’s commitment to reinforcing more and more the market of the tech innovations dedicated to the energy transition, which Nidec sees as one of the main drivers on the path to achieving greater global sustainability. In fact, Nidec Conversion will be present at the fair with two booths with different focuses: the first will be focused on BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) and the second entirely dedicated to e-mobility technologies.

Strengthened also by its presence in Italy – where it is active with five plants spread over Milan-Cinisello Balsamo, Montebello Vicentino, Monfalcone, Salerno and Genoa – Nidec Conversion stands out for the continuous innovation and vertical integration of its technologies thanks to the Group’s internal synergies, and modularity, which allows it to respond to the needs of all realities that undertake for the first time a path of energy transition, acting as a facilitator.

Nidec Conversion‘s technology stack includes complete and customized electrical systems for energy efficiency, aiming to maximize the use of renewable sources for a stable and clean energy supply to charging stations.

BESS solutions are a crucial technology for the successful transition to a fully decarbonized power grid supported by renewable sources. As a result, energy storage facilities complement the potential of solar and wind power plants, solving the problems associated with the latter’s non-programmability, and are able to ensure the necessary grid stability even in the face of the decommissioning of conventional synchronous generators through advanced capabilities such as grid forming and synthetic inertia. Nidec Conversion is a European leader in the field, thanks to proprietary solutions, such as ACBOX, for applications from 2 to 8 hours and the ability to provide customers with turnkey service up to full EPC.

One of the distinguishing features of Nidec Conversion is its reliability in the market in terms of performance, developed thanks to the company’s deep knowledge in the field of electric vehicles, storage systems and power electronics. At Key 2025, confirming its innovative approach and the effectiveness of modularity, Nidec Conversion will launch its new product for the e-mobility segment, the DirectPowerPS DC Split, which is capable of charging with power up to 1.3MW and, thanks to its flexible design offers up to 12 charging points, providing an efficient and cost-effective infrastructure capable of supporting even the most advanced generation of EV Duty vehicles and trucks.

Gilbert Khawam, Business Leader of the e-mobility segment at Nidec Conversion commented “We are very proud to be present at KEY 2025. It is an important opportunity to bring our vision as well as our products and services to one of the industry’s most relevant marketplaces to contribute to the debate on the energy transition in e-mobility.”

Franck Girard, Business Leader of the BESS segment at Nidec Conversion continued “Our goal is to become strategic partners in the energy transition. Nidec is one of the main leaders in BESS, precisely because we believe in our modular approach, based on continuous innovation and the synergy of our divisions, which make us reliable and able to offer tailor-made solutions for companies wishing to integrate renewable sources into their processes.”

Dominique Llonch, CEO of Nidec Conversion concluded “Nidec Conversion began a journey that has led us to be one of the main players in the industry today. The innovative projects underway in underline the company’s commitment to support actively the European energy transition with effective and reliable solutions. We stand alongside our trusted partners to deliver technologies that meet today’s needs, and together we are building a resilient and sustainable product ecosystem.”

During the three-day fair, Nidec Conversion will hold events and await for all visitors and clients in Hall B5 at Booth 135 for the stand focused on BESS. In Hall A3, on the other hand, at the booth dedicated to e-mobility solutions, Booth 111, the new DirectPowerPS DC Split will be presented with dedicated launch events on each of the days of the trade show. In addition, on March 6 at 11.30, Nidec will also attend the roundtable organized by ANIE E-Mobility, Gse and Motus-e “Charging network in 2025, where are we?” to discuss the state of the art of Italian charging infrastructure and the progress achieved so far in this area.
