Juice Technology will supply Juice Booster 2 charging stations to help Morgan Sindall Infrastructure accelerate the electrification of its fleet. The UK company manages a total fleet of 450 commercial vehicles and around 700 company cars across its infrastructure business, fifty per cent of which are already electric. The rest will be converted over the next three years.

The challenge is fleet management, which can be difficult due to the limited range of some commercial vehicles. This, combined with a lack of charging points on the public network, meant that Morgan Sindall felt the need to independently manage the charging process for vehicles involved in infrastructure work on its own sites, where it plans to install charging points for drivers to use.

"A temporary charging solution is beneficial because installing fixed charging points would be expensive given our sites are only set up for the duration of the project. The Juice Booster 2 makes it far easier to change the number of charging points and it provides a wealth of options in terms of connections and different adaptors,” Jonathan Hall, Plant & Transport Director at Morgan Sindall explains.

Here are the factors that made Juice Booster 2 the perfect solution for Morgan Sindall Infrastructure:

1. This is a 22kW portable charger designed for maximum flexibility and safety throughout the charging process. Using a range of different adapters, it enables EV charging wherever power is available, whether at a public charging point or elsewhere. In addition, the technology in the charger allows EV drivers to safely take advantage of the maximum charging speed.

2. The charger is flexible and easy to use, able to adapt to different types of vehicles and situations where it is not always possible to rely on public charging points.

3. It offers a wide range of connection options and different adapters, depending on the site's power outlet or changes during the course of the project. Charging on site, where three-phase electricity is usually available, can make full use of the potential of a 22 kW charging station and reduce the charging time as much as possible, even with alternating current.

4.
