DID YOU KNOW THAT THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CLUTCH SERVOS?
The #clutchservo is one of the most important components within the transmission system, which is responsible for performing the active movement for coupling/uncoupling the gears of the gearbox.
The progress of technology in these systems has led to the emergence of new types of clutch servos:
HYDRO-PNEUMATIC
- It is assembled on manual gearboxes.
- It allows for amplification of the force exerted by the driver on the clutch pedal, thanks to the help of the vehicle's pneumatic system.
- It combines hydraulics and pneumatics in the same component.
ELECTRO-PNEUMATIC
- It is assembled in automatic gearboxes.
- It is directly managed by the control unit of the transmission system.
- It consists of several integrated electronic components that allow the clutch to be activated in milliseconds.
- It uses compressed air from the vehicle's pneumatic system.
