Forsee Power to Equip MegaFlux Heavy-Vehicle Powertrains in Mexico

A modular LFP battery platform tailored for Mexico’s heavy-vehicle electrification
Mexico’s demand for electric heavy-duty mobility is rising rapidly, with an estimated need for 400,000 electric buses over the next two decades to renew its public-transport fleet. To meet this challenge, MegaFlux, a Mexico-based powertrain integrator, has selected Forsee Power’s ZEN LFP battery systems for its electric powertrain offerings deployed in new vehicles and diesel-to-electric retrofit projects.

A regional integrator supporting the shift to electric fleets
MegaFlux designs and manufactures electric powertrains for heavy-duty trucks, buses, and commercial fleets, supplying OEMs and operators that require full electrification services. In addition to powertrains, the company provides charging-infrastructure planning, installation and energy-management consulting, offering fleets a complete transition strategy. MegaFlux also operates one of Mexico’s largest electric-motor and battery-testing laboratories, providing performance validation, cost-benefit analysis and long-term operational support.

With these requirements, MegaFlux selected the ZEN LFP system to meet the durability, integration flexibility and cost-efficiency targets demanded by large bus and truck platforms in Latin America.

High-energy LFP batteries engineered for long service life
Forsee Power’s ZEN LFP series is designed for commercial heavy-vehicle applications in the bus, truck and off-highway segments. Its modular architecture offers 36 kWh and 55 kWh units that can be stacked—up to two modules—to create multiple voltage and energy configurations. The system delivers an energy density of 240 Wh/L, enabling manufacturers to maximize available installation space in varied chassis layouts. A rail-certified variant of ZEN LFP is also available.

The ZEN LFP platform meets rigorous safety and reliability standards, including ISO 26262 ASIL-C, R100-3, R10.6, AIS-038 rev.2, SAE J2464 and SAE J2929. Its compatibility with the C-box LFP industry format simplifies replacement while offering up to 20% more power in a more compact package.

A notable advantage of the LFP chemistry and Forsee Power’s thermal and structural design is the ability to deliver up to 6,000 cycles, supporting long-term operation and providing operators with a lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

Supporting heavy-duty electrification at scale
By integrating ZEN LFP systems into its powertrains, MegaFlux aims to accelerate the deployment of electric buses and trucks across Mexico and surrounding regions, where robust batteries with long cycle life and flexible integration are essential to meeting service and cost expectations.
