The new solutions are now available to wholesalers and independent workshops in reliable Hengst OEM quality. With this expansion of its range, Hengst is providing independent workshops and wholesalers with a comprehensive range of ready-to-install system solutions in OE quality.
Continuous expansion of the aftermarket portfolio
Hengst has been successfully establishing new product groups in the aftermarket since 2023. It started with transmission oil pans and crankcase ventilation systems, followed by oil change kits and oil filter modules. With the new cylinder head covers and intake manifold modules, the company is now consistently continuing along this path.
"We are gradually transferring our many years of OE expertise to the independent aftermarket," explains Adrian Rothschild, Group Director Product Management at Hengst. "In doing so, Hengst is also demonstrating its expertise beyond classic filter products in the aftermarket and is systematically expanding this expertise. Our goal is to offer the market complete, ready-to-install solutions that simplify repairs and prevent consequential damage."
Today, cylinder head covers are more than just covers for the cylinder head. In addition to sealing, they often integrate functions such as integrated ventilation systems or camshaft sensors. Accordingly, material fatigue, leaks, or defects in integrated components affect not only the local area but the entire engine system. In practice, this damage often manifests itself in the form of oil loss, secondary air, or unstable engine running. Simply replacing the gasket often only remedies the causes in the short term.
Hengst therefore offers cylinder head covers as fully pre-assembled replacement solutions that include all functionally relevant components. The initial range comprises 22 items for passenger car applications and is being continuously expanded. Many designs feature integrated oil mist separators. This is a component that can have a significant impact on pressure conditions and tightness in the engine if it wears out or malfunctions. Complete replacement prevents consequential damage and reduces the need for repeated visits to the repair shop. The range already covers over 2,000 European vehicle models.
Intake manifold modules: System component with high damage potential
Intake manifold modules form the central interface between the intake air duct, throttle valve, and exhaust gas recirculation. In modern engines, they are designed as a functional unit with swirl flaps, servomotors, and sensors. Deposits caused by EGR recirculation, wear on the flap mechanism, or leaks in the plastic housing often lead to false air, loss of power, or error messages in the engine management system. Individual repair attempts quickly reach their limits, as defects are rarely limited to a single component.
Hengst therefore offers intake manifold modules as a complete, ready-to-install service part solution in OEM quality, which enables easy storage and quick repairs. Replacing the entire assembly ensures that all functionally relevant components work together reliably again and that consequential damage is avoided. The initial range comprises 19 intake manifold modules for passenger car applications and is being continuously expanded. The range already covers more than 1,000 European vehicle models and supports workshops in carrying out sustainable and economical repairs.
