The best way of efficiently controlling production processes in the automotive industry is through the use of relevant, up-to-date, and transparent key figures. The new business intelligence application for control technology from Dürr makes this possible. DXQbusiness.intelligence saves information optimized for reading in a separate data warehouse, visualizes it using clear dashboards, and allows the user to create custom reports. This means that manufacturers always have a close eye on the availability, performance, and quality of their plants.
Efficient, sustainable and high-quality technology is the focus at Beijing Benz Automotive Co, Ltd. (BBAC) in all production facilities, including the paint shop now being converted for BBAC in Beijing. Having been a partner for all three paint shops in BBAC’s established local production hub in Beijing’s Yizhuang industrial park, Dürr will supply its high-quality painting technology and digital solutions also for the new production site in the capital city’s Shunyi district. The order was received in 2019.
Sports car manufacturer Lotus is automating its body painting facility at its British headquarters in Hethel. Lotus contracted Dürr to install an automated paint shop boasting a number of extremely efficient processes.
Dürr Systems AG has been presented with the German Innovation Award in the ‘Large Enterprises’ category for its EcoPaintJet robot painting system. EcoPaintJet is a groundbreaking innovation for the razor-sharp painting of cars and other products. The benefits of the process also impressed the jury of the German Innovation Award: 100% of the paint lands on the surface without any waste, with two-tone painting also made easy – and all this in a faster, more energy-efficient and resource-friendly way than before.
The first AGV for paint shops, EcoProFleet from Dürr, has been awarded the "Red Dot: Best of the Best" prize. The highest award of the internationally renowned design prize is given to products with pioneering design.
Dürr is reinforcing its market position in the field of digital products: The mechanical and plant engineering firm acquired a majority of Techno-Step GmbH effective March 9, 2020. Techno-Step is specialized in developing and commissioning systems for process data analysis and diagnosis. The takeover will enable Dürr to intensify its strategy to develop software solutions based on data analyses. Customers can use these to enhance the availability of their plant equipment and the efficiency of their production processes.
