Knorr-Bremse, the world’s leading manufacturer of braking and other systems for rail and commercial vehicles, has been awarded a supply contract by trailer and bus manufacturer NEFAZ, a subsidiary of the KAMAZ Group. The scope of supply includes more than 4,500 trailer EBS systems, NEFAZ’s full requirement for the next three years, underpinning Knorr-Bremse’s market position in the trailer segment in Russia.

Just in time for the World Environment Day (5 June), an electric truck will be commissioned at the Regensburg site after two weeks of testing. The vehicle of the logistics partner Kühne+Nagel will drive the distance between the factory premises and an external warehouse in the east of the city four times per working day. Thus, the electric truck will cover around 100 km a day. And thanks to the electric drive, it will save some 18 tons of CO 2 every year.
