In some references of viscous clutch shafts, it is essential to machine threaded holes to ensure the correct assembling of the clutch to the vehicle.
For that, before carrying out the threading, it is necessary to perform a hole of a specific diameter, which is determined thanks to the record of inlet parameters, metrics and the final threading step.
The tools used to perform this threading are called spiral point taps. Depending on whether the threading is performed manually or automatically (in CNC lathe), the spiral point taps used might vary.
In the Machining Department of Cojali, we carry out this procedure on a regular basis for the threaded holes to be made correctly in CNC machining line for inlet shafts.
