Blue World Technologies is a Danish company specializing in the development and manufacturing of methanol fuel cells. Their technology serves as a green alternative to combustion engines and diesel generators, targeting applications in the maritime industry, stationary power generation, and heavy-duty transportation. By integrating high-temperature proton exchange membrane (HT-PEM) fuel cells with methanol reforming, they achieve high efficiency and reliability. Committed to advancing the Power-to-X ecosystem, Blue World Technologies contributes to the global transition towards sustainable energy solutions.
The Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs has announced that the Green CCU Hub Aalborg project – in which Blue World Technologies plays an important part as fuel cell technology partner – has been pre-qualified and will proceed to the next phase in the IPCEI programme.
Blue World Technologies has received loan financing from the Danish Green Investment Fund that administrates green investments from the Danish Government.
The two companies are working together to develop a small-scale mobile methanol fuel cell solution for stationary and auxiliary power. The target is to develop a solution in the 5 to 15-kilowatt power range.
Blue World Technologies today announced that we have agreed to collaborate with Karma Automotive to explore the viability of a fuel cell system to provide primary propulsion power for a variety of future passenger and light commercial vehicles.
The methanol fuel cell developer and manufacturer, Blue World Technologies, is starting a limited production which is the first step in commercialising their fuel cell technology.
