Battery Show 2021: latest innovations and advanced solutions for the clean mobility

Arkema will be present at the Battery Show held on 30th November to 2nd December 2021 at Stuttgart and will exhibit its unique portfolio of innovative, durable and sustainable materials and its process expertise from cell to module and battery pack assembly up to battery system integration into the vehicle.

A new bio-based polyamide 11 powders plant in China

In parallel with its major project to increase global capacity of bio-based polyamide 11 by 50% in Singapore, Arkema announces the construction of a polyamide 11 powders plant on its Changshu platform in China, scheduled to come on stream in the first quarter of 2023. This investment will further support the growing demand for advanced bio-circular materials in Asia.

Arkema will invest to further increase its fluoropolymer production capacities in Changshu by 35% in 2022. Simultaneously, we celebrate the first ten years of successful PVDF production at our Changshu site in China

The increase in capacity is scheduled to come on stream before the end of 2022. This new investment is fueled by further strong demand in the lithium ion battery business as well as significant opportunities in the water filtration, construction coatings, and semiconductor industries.

Arkema leads the Series B investment in Adaptive3D, an innovative company and premium additive manufacturing photopolymer resin supplier. This investment complements our expertise in UV liquid resin material design and our commitment to accelerate 3D printing manufacturing technology development.
